The Amalthea Trust is currently looking at starting up a new program in partnership with the Tropical Health Education Trust (THET) and Northern Technical College in Ndola, Zambia. The idea is to send out volunteers in pairs to conduct in-service-training with serving Zambian BMETs on specific items of equipment for which the expertise does not as yet exist within the country.
This will be a great opportunity for volunteers to help make a real difference to effective health care delivery in a very safe and peaceful African country. We will in time be advertising for volunteers through our mailing list, but anyone not currently on the list and interested should contact us deirectly.
