Amalthea Trust at EBME 2026

Once again we attended the EBME Expo at Coventry, and were hosted by Hilditch Group on their stand as in past years. It was great to meet up with volunteers old and new and to also make a few new contacts with biomedical engineers from around the World who may be looking for help from our volunteers, either online or in the form of actual visits.

Martin Worster opened the conference with his usual update on what we are currently up to, and included a call for volunteer BMEs to help with both the Zambia and Uganda (Kyambogo) projects.

We are hoping to send a total of 4 volunteers to Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka, Zambia, this coming October to conduct some in-service training with Zambian BMEs from across the country.

We are also looking for volunteers to travel to Uganda to conduct workshop training for BME students at Kyambogo University ion Kampala in February of next year.
